About the Role
Galaxy Digital seeks a VP Protocol Engineer to lead validator infrastructure and protocol optimization initiatives. This role bridges engineering and infrastructure teams to design, deploy, and maintain consensus mechanisms across blockchain networks. You'll oversee protocol performance, security, and scalability for Galaxy's data center and digital asset operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement validator node infrastructure across multiple blockchain networks
- Lead protocol optimization efforts to improve consensus efficiency and network security
- Manage technical teams responsible for validator deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with research teams on protocol improvements and network upgrades
- Oversee infrastructure performance, uptime, and compliance with network standards
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in blockchain protocol engineering or distributed systems
- Deep understanding of consensus mechanisms and validator architecture
- Experience leading technical teams in infrastructure or protocol roles
- Proficiency with blockchain networks (Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, or similar)
- Strong background in systems-level performance optimization
