About the Role

In-house legal counsel providing comprehensive legal representation for private funds domiciled in the EMEA region, with primary focus on Luxembourg and Cayman-domiciled structures. Advises on fund formation, marketing, structuring, and distribution matters across multiple jurisdictions. Acts as a trusted legal partner to fund sponsors and management teams navigating regulatory and operational complexities in European and offshore fund management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-house legal counsel on private fund formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance for EMEA-domiciled funds
  • Advise on fund marketing materials, distribution channels, and investor documentation across EMEA jurisdictions
  • Represent fund sponsors on cross-border structuring matters involving Luxembourg and Cayman Island regulations
  • Support fund launches and ongoing operations with attention to changing regulatory requirements in Europe and offshore jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with external counsel, compliance teams, and portfolio management on legal risk mitigation

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer (bar admission or equivalent professional legal qualification)
  • 5+ years of experience in fund formation, private funds, or investment funds legal practice
  • Expertise in Luxembourg and/or Cayman Islands fund law and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA regulatory framework for investment funds and alternative assets
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex mandates simultaneously
