BlockApps builds enterprise blockchain infrastructure. Its core product, STRATO, is a blockchain-as-a-service platform compatible with the Ethereum specification that lets businesses run permissioned or virtual private blockchains across major cloud providers. The company also operates STRATO Mercata, a network focused on real-world asset tokenization, staking, and DeFi, including tokenized commodities such as a carbon-neutral silver token. BlockApps has been used in supply chain traceability programs in agriculture and energy. It was incubated out of ConsenSys and raised 41 million dollars in 2022 led by Liberty City Ventures. Founded in 2015, it is based in Brooklyn, New York, with roughly 23 employees.
