DTCC (The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation) is a US financial market infrastructure provider that supplies post-trade clearing, settlement, custody and data services for global securities markets. Formed in 1999 as a holding company combining The Depository Trust Company and the National Securities Clearing Corporation, it processes securities transactions valued in the quadrillions of dollars annually. Through its DTCC Digital Assets unit it builds tokenization and distributed-ledger infrastructure, including the Collateral AppChain showcased at its 2025 Great Collateral Experiment, and a DTC tokenization service authorized by an SEC no-action letter in December 2025.
