Maple Finance is an onchain asset management and institutional credit protocol that operates lending markets for crypto native and traditional allocators. It offers overcollateralized and secured lending products and yield bearing dollar products including syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT. In 2025 the protocol transitioned from its MPL token to the SYRUP token, used for governance, staking, and a revenue funded buyback. Reported assets under management grew to more than 4 billion USD by late 2025, and the protocol originated over 11 billion USD in loans during 2025. Institutional partners and counterparties include Bitwise Asset Management and Cantor Fitzgerald. Maple lends to asset managers, trading firms, and exchanges, with ticket sizes reported from 10 million to 500 million USD.
