Pendle Finance
Pendle Finance is a decentralized finance protocol for yield tokenization and trading. It splits yield-bearing tokens into Principal Tokens (PT) and Yield Tokens (YT), which trade independently on an automated market maker, letting users lock in fixed yields or speculate on variable yields and creating an on-chain yield curve. Founded in 2021 by TN Lee and Vu Nguyen, it grew into one of the largest yield-trading platforms in DeFi. In 2025 it launched Boros for trading tokenized funding-rate and interest-rate exposure, and Citadels to provide KYC-compliant and Shariah-compliant access for institutions. The protocol supports real-world-asset and tokenized-yield strategies and is native to digital-asset markets.
