Tezos Foundation
The Tezos Foundation is a Swiss foundation based in Zug that supports the development and promotion of the Tezos blockchain protocol and its ecosystem. Established in 2017, it funds grants, research and adoption of decentralized software and applications. Tezos is a proof of stake blockchain with on-chain governance. The ecosystem supports real world asset tokenization, including through Etherlink, a Layer 2 network powered by Tezos smart rollup technology. Institutional use cases in 2025 included tokenized assets from Midas and tokenized uranium custody by Hex Trust. The Foundation is supervised by the Swiss Federal Foundation Supervisory Authority.
